Coordination Team

Astrid is originally from Resistencia, Argentina, where she grew up and graduated as a lawyer before moving to Buenos Aires. There, she worked as an Assistant Prosecutor, served as an advisor on Human Rights and Public Security issues in the National Parliament and the Buenos Aires City Parliament, and worked as a professor of Criminal Procedure Law. With a scholarship from the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, she moved to Germany, where she graduated as a criminologist in Hamburg. She later completed her PhD in Criminal Law and Criminology at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. With more than 20 years of experience in development cooperation, she has worked in Bolivia, Colombia, Pakistan, and Germany, on projects in the areas of rule of law, governance, interculturalism, and gender. Since 2021, she has been coordinating the rule of law component of the LAK-FSDRIO project. In January 2025, she became the Head of Project at LAK-FSDRIO.

Amely is originally from Berlin and studied Portuguese and Italian with a focus on translation at the Humboldt University of Berlin. As part of her studies at the Faculty of Law, she also specialized in Brazilian law. Her professional path has included positions at the Ibero-American Institute in Berlin, the German-Brazilian Society, and the Brazilian Embassy in Berlin. Her work experience ranges from the conception and organization of events to project management – always in a political and intercultural context. Since 2015, she has been working for GIZ. Within the Latin America and Caribbean Initiative of the German Federal Foreign Office, she is active in the component "Political Dialogue and Communication" and co-coordinates the Unidas Women's Network.
